The National Association of Funeral Directors is a truly independent Trade Association with the broadest membership within the funeral profession, including more than 3,200 funeral homes nationwide, suppliers to the profession and overseas funeral directing businesses.
Member companies range from small family businesses to Public Limited Companies and Co-operatives, conducting in excess of 500,000 funerals every year.

The National Society of Allied & Independent Funeral Directors
The National Society of Allied and Independent Funeral Directors (SAIF) is a trade association whose members are all independent funeral directors. The funeral service they offer is not part of a national or international conglomerate or chain, but is privately owned and managed. In fact, a large proportion of our members funeral homes have been run by the same family for generations.

British Institute of Funeral Directors
The B.I.F.D was formed in 1982 by a group of highly experienced, qualified Funeral Directors to provide an organisation which cared for professionally qualified individuals working within the Funeral Industry.
The Institute's main aim is to promote education services within the profession.

Tameside Cemeteries and Crematorium Services
The Cemeteries have provision for burials of various denominations, with separate Muslim sections at Hyde and Ashton (Hurst).
A service may be held at any of our Chapels which are located at Denton, Droylsden, Dukinfield, Hyde or Mossley Cemeteries.
Memorial Garden for Babies at Dukinfield CemeteryFor those who have suffered the special loss of a stillborn or very young child, an area is set aside at Dukinfield Cemetery for the purpose of interment.
The individual plots may be marked with stone memorial tablets available through the Cemetery Office at Dukinfield.
