Direct Cremation / Simple Funeral
As an alternative to a “traditional” funeral, many people choose a Direct Cremation also known as a Simple Funeral. A direct cremation is usually, but not always, a service without a minister, without a funeral procession and sometimes without family and friends present. Instead of having a bespoke funeral, we offer two types of direct / simple cremations with a set price for each service. Both Simple funerals require full payment before the day of the funeral and you cannot add extra services to these types of funeral.

Attended Simple Cremation: Total Cost using Dukinfield or Stockport Crematorium £2,350.00
This is a lower cost funeral where family and friends can be present and have a minister/celebrant to officiate at the crematorium if desired (a minister/celebrant is included in the cost). The crematorium used would be either Dukinfield or Stockport Crematorium (based on your preference) and details of what is included and the total price are listed:

A traditional Black Hearse

A Standard veneered coffin

Visiting our Chapel of Rest during office hours only

Necessary staff on the day of the funeral

Meet directly at the chosen Crematorium or leave from an address within 5 miles of chosen crematorium

A Minister/Celebrant to lead the service

Doctor’s Cremation Certificate (if required)

All administration and legalities

You will be asked to look after your own floral tributes, catering and any other extra services you may require

You cannot add extra services such as limousines to the Attended Simple Cremation

This is a funeral where family and friends cannot be present or have a service. The crematorium used would be Dukinfield or Oldham Crematorium and details of what is included and the total price are listed:

A suitable vehicle to transport from our premises to the crematorium

Visits to the Chapel of Rest during office hours only and by appointment
